KORN: Video Recap Of First-Ever Visit To India
March 13, 2013A four-minute video recap of KORN's first-ever visit to India — which took place last September — can be seen below.
"This was an experience we could not pass up. We have never been to India, and to have the opportunity to play in such a beautiful and important country was an incredible honor," KORN drummer Ray Luzier said shortly after the band's Indian gigs were first announced. "We can't wait to play these shows and see our fans, and enjoy the beautiful sites."
"It's fun to explore new places. So finally we are here and we are very excited," KORN frontman Jonathan Davis said in a press conference before the band's September 5, 2012 concert in Gurgaon. "I am just going to do what we do. That's it. I know about Indian beats but I know nothing about rock shows in India," he added.
KORN will reunite with founding guitarist Brian "Head" Welch for several festival shows this summer, including two dates in Germany, one concert in the United Kingdom and at the upcoming Rock On The Range festival in Columbus, Ohio.
Welch left KORN in 2005 to become a born-again Christian. The band never officially replaced him and stayed a four-piece, although they've used several touring guitarists for live work.
KORN has been touring for much of the past year behind its 10th studio album, "The Path Of Totality", but has also begun work on a new set of material.
